Workflow Notifications

Can someone who does not have access to an application, receive a notification from a notification step within a workflow in that application? We want to make sure that people are being notified of activities through the workflow, but not allow them access to any other information besides what is in that notification. If they need to be a member of the application to receive the notification, what is the best way to do that while still preventing them from seeing anything within the application? In many cases, the individuals receiving the notifications would already have access to TDNext.

Hello Christopher,

You *can* do it by selecting those persons as direct recipients on the Notification step (this means you specifically select their name from the look-up window rather than using role-based recipient selection).

Role-based may also work if they are TDNext users, but if they aren't also Ticketing users then there's the potential for that still not to be the best bet.

Thank you. That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure before telling anyone the wrong thing. I appreciate your help. - Christopher Wagner Mon 3/1/21 10:17 AM
Sure thing, if there's anything else I can do for you just let me know. - Mark Sayers Mon 3/1/21 10:24 AM
