Client Portal: Remove Update Button?

Can the update button in the client portal be removed or can ticket statuses be configured so that client portal users cannot update it? Customers are updating ticket statuses to values that are not appropriate.

In https://solutions.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/Forums/Questions/Details?ID=110844 from the fall of 2017, the answer was "Since clients may want to withdraw their ticket due to self-answering it or realizing they didn't need it after all, or because they may just want to check up on it periodically, the Update button is not configurable to be removed." However, they can withdraw now using the "withdraw request" button and they can check up on the ticket without updating. Also, if they need to communicate, they can make a comment and notify. Is there any outstanding reason this can't be done? (Or can it and I'm not finding how to do so?)

Hi Greg,

The Update button shows on tickets in the Client Portal when a TDNext user with ticket app access is logged in and sees their ticket they have created or listed as a requestor on.

As a Client licensed user, they do not see the Update button, but will have access to Comment on their ticket and to Withdraw it if they resolved it on their own or no longer need that ticket they created anymore.

It is not going to be removed for TDNext users when viewing tickets in the client portal, since their license allows them to do so and given ticketing app access as well.

Thanks,

Thank you. My error. I blame it on the business of start-up. ;) The reason why it looked like the customer changed the status is that the customer replied and the ticket went back to the status it was in before it was put on hold. Regular stuff. I should have caught it.
